I have worked for 6 years with C# and .NET. The technology stack usually had at least one of these components:

API based applications are great when it comes to creating mobile versions of an application. Let the API make all the heavy operations. At the same time it can service the application. Saving time and effort. I have used ASP.NET Web API.
